The Catholic community of Abu Dhabi is in deep sorrow and in solidarity with the entire nation of the United Arab Emirates on the demise of its great leader, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
Prayers will be offered for the nation and the late President at all Masses from Friday to Sunday, and a special Mass will be presided over by H.E. Bishop Paul Hinder on May 16, Monday at 7:00pm.
H.E. Bishop Paul Hinder, expressed his condolences in the name of Catholic community in the United Arab Emirates, to H.H. Shiekh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Shiekh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, their Highnesses the rulers of the Emirates and members of His Highness the late President's family, and to all the people of the United Arab Emirates on the demise of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
