ABOUT
“The reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For by the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed." (CCC 1285, see also Acts 8:14-17, Acts 19:5-6, Bible/Early Church references link etc)
RECEIVING CONFIRMATION
Children receiving Confirmation have to undergo a preparation. The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered only to those who are enrolled for the Catechism classes.
Preparations for Confirmation begin in Grade 7 and students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation usually during Pentecost which coincides with the end of Grade 8.
